If you think about it, shorts and bathing suit weather is a very few short months away.  Yes it is the cold of winter now but maybe you are planning a tropical winter getaway or really being focused on “This summer I will definitely feel better and look better in shorts and a bathing suit!”.

NOW IS THE TIME MY FRIENDS!!

I have some really easy suggestions to getting there.
1.  Focus on fiber!! The shorter food stays in the less it gets absorbed and turns into fat.  So let’s poop it out sooner, the healthy way.  Fiber also reduces cholesterol so it is so healthy to include at least 30 grams of fiber into your diet every day.  For example, high fiber pasta is a true bargain and you’ll never realize the difference and you will feel fuller faster.  High fiber breads, English muffins, and flat breads are getting tastier all the time.

2. Never deprive yourself of treats! If you deprive yourself than you are so much less likely to stay on target.  Here are a few great suggestions:  check out the dairy section where they have the puddings and yogurts, there are so many terrific flavors and treats to choose from that are around 100 calories or less, stock up!  The ice cream section has a large selection of frozen treats that are 4 Weight Watcher points or less.
3.  Watch your portion size! Keep in mind that a portion size of meat is the size of a deck of cards, easy to do!
4 .  Get out your skinny jeans and keep them at hand as your barometer for progress. Wearing stretch pants or sweats all the time give you too much leeway. Wear belts with your outfits daily and keep them on the “skinny” setting”.  A belt will be a constant reminder of curbing your intake.

You can do this, and you will be so much happier and healthier for it!
